Saint Bris le Vineux is a small village in the Burgundy region, located 8km from Auxerre and 16km from Chablis. It is the most respected municipality of the Auxerre wine area but also the most historically as there are traces of wine production since the 12th century.
In 1987 Erick Lavallée founded Domaine Grand Roche after a lieu-dit around Saint Bris where he planted 10 hectares of vine. In 2021, the second generation takes over. Today, they grow 14 hectares of vineyards spread between the areas of Chablis and Auxerre.
